To Be, Or Not To Be, The Future Of The Automotive Industry

If there is one thing that we know about Americans it's quite simply this, when it come to cars, we will not be told what to do, we love our cars, no matter what brand we love, we are fiercely loyal to it, but lately we've had the government trying to force the green thing on to us.

I listened to a scientist on the radio talking about this very things the other day, and this particular scientist had proof that all the little things that we're doing won't curb the earth from going through it's natural cycle, all this has happened before, and it will happen again.

He said that if we shut down every plant that emits carbon in to the air, and never drove another car again, that we would not live long enough to feel the affect of it, but because of the politicians we will go green like it or not, because it will be very lucrative for them.

We already have politicians predicting that the United States will all be driving electric cars at some point, I hope to be dead by then, I am one of those stubborn American's that likes car the way that they are, I like being able to have fun with my car, without being an electrical engineer.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think that electric cars will save the world, the same as I didn't about hybrids, I don't think that a free American should be forced to drive any car that they don't want to drive, and I don't think that they should eliminate gas powered cars ever.

I love my country, and the world that we live in, but I happen to believe that we don't need the entire world to turn in to tree hugging hippies, we need to remain free if this country is to remain to be the United States Of America, if not, then fine let's all buy in to the idiocy of go green.

They all say that electric cars will save the automotive industry, they said the same thing about hybrids, and we seen how many Americans bought those things, yes I'll admit a few Americans did, and I even liked that idea, just not at the expense of a traditional gas powered car.

I think that the future of the automotive industry will be a combination of all of these things, because there are people like me, who refuse to drive an electric car, or a hybrid, if is is to replace our good old gas powered cars.

I say if you want a hybrid, fine go out and buy one tomorrow, but I should not be forced to drive some turd that I can't even stand to be seen in, like I said I can see the idea of a duel fuel hybrid, or even a car that runs on water, but I refuse to become a tree hugging hippie.

I by the same token will never be that guy that sells out his own country by saying that other countries are building better cars, I am an American, I refuse to drive a Toyota Prius, or anything of the sort, and if yo ever see me chained to a tree, do me the favor of killing me.

I hate anything that presumes to tell an American citizen what he, or she must do about a certain thing, and so I say what will save the automotive industry is a good combination of all of these things, and for the idea of auto workers being in a union to be rethought.

The UAW has been working for years to kill the industry, and they car about nothing but the union, it's time to kick them down a notch, take some of the power and money from them, and then let's see how cocky they are, maybe that will shut their mouths.

What I'm saying here is that it's not only the cars that need to be redone, it's the management, and most of all the unions, to solve the problem you either need to fix the things that are causing the problem, or get rid of them completely.

So let's do that by first getting rid of Obama's yes men from the industry, and working our way through the rest of it a step at a time, it's not a quick fix, but then again it took over 100 years for the problems to start screwing things up, and it may take some time to fix it.

If they were to locate the right management for the big three, people that actually care about the product that they sell, and the employees that make the product, people who can decide not to sign the next union contract that comes through the doors, we may see them return again.

I have said for years that the union would kill the industry, and they had a lot to do with all of the crap that is going on, if you don't believe me, all you need to do is to study up a bit, it will not take you long to understand what I'm saying, it won't take you long to see the light on this subject.

Over the years I have seen a lot of different custom cars built, just when you think that you have seen it all somebody does something completely different. It doesn't matter what you consider to be a custom car there is never a point when something completely different can't be done.

When talking about classic cars, it comes as no surprise that people love them. They remind of of better times, the days when life was simple and all we had to do is hang out with the boys on the boulevard. We'd gather up the girl friend and go where the people were.

Muscle Car: Any good red blooded American man loves his muscle car, and that is a trait that he will never lose. I have had a love for the muscle car since I was a young boy. The love has only grown stronger with age, you know the old saying, the only difference between a boy, and a man is the price of his toys.
