The gaywheels.com has chosen their top five autos from the New York Auto Show. And here is the list:
Infiniti G37
The G37 is described by the creative people of gaywheels as gay-friendly and a beautiful successor to the brand’s popular coupe. The new name G37 reflects the larger 330 hp version of the brand’s remarkable VQ engine unfortunately the new design didn’t do much justice on the old coupe which according to our gay friends had made the old coupe looks boring. But in fairness to the G37 it has lots of room for improvement especially once it’s driving dynamics and design are enhance further. The G37 is going to be offered in either a 5-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual and is scheduled to hit dealerships in August of this year.
Audi S5
After the Geneva debut of the A5, Audi has followed it up with the debut of the S5 in New York. The S5 offers the same gorgeous styling as the A5 coupe along with a 354 hp V8 FSI engine and Audi’s legendary Quattro AWD system. The interior of the S5 exudes a classic Audi minimalist styling which some say is simply stunning. The folding rear seats offer utility. Everything about the S5 is sexy that seduces you to drive it now. The S5 will hit dealerships together with the A5 in June 2007.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Mercedes-Benz has introduced its new C-Class in New York. The C-Class is going to be offered in three V6 powered models namely the C350 Sport, the C300 Luxury, and the C300 Sport. Moreover the C300 Sport and Luxury models are to be made available with an all new 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission which brings this particular baby Benz to level it off with its other competitors in the segment. It also possesses standard equipment that includes a power sunroof, eight-way power front seats with lumbar support, two-zone automatic climate control, and 17 inch wheels.
Jeep Liberty
The Jeep Liberty has been a strong seller for the iconic brand however many loyalists have lost faith when the rounded Liberty replaced the utility-drives-the-design Cherokee. According to some Jeep fanatics the Liberty is not very “Jeep”. With such comments from customers, Chrysler the maker of Jeep vehicles and its components like the Jeep steering wheel ring has decided to create a new Liberty with features that reflects its 4x4 Jeep heritage—boxy design. The design employed for the new Liberty possesses a strong resemblance and the same off-road prowess that makes a Jeep a Jeep. It also includes some very cool features such as an industry-exclusive Sky Slider which is a full-open canvas roof that provides an open-air Jeep experience.
Volvo XC70
A wagon is a breather from huge SUVs. It’s not as big but it’s as useful and reliable. The all new XC7- from Volvo will prove to be the perfect choice for those who wants the rugged look as well as the all-season capability of an SUV with the convenience and driving dynamics of a wagon. The XC70 was based on the new S80 and powered with a 3.2 liter in-line six cylinder engine that produces 235 horsepower. XC70 possess a design that is quite charming and add to it all the safety features that made Volvo famous in the world has helped the XC70 to be chosen as one of the Top 5 autos in the gaywheels list from the NYIAS.
