Toyota was born in Japan

In 2005, Toyota combined with its subsidiary one Daihatsu, produced 8.54 million vehicles, some 500,000 less than the number produced by GM that same year.  In July of 2006, Toyota passed to Ford Motor Company for sale of vehicles, although Ford recovered its leadership on Toyota in the following month and lose it again due to high prices of the gasoline.  Toyota has an extensive market share in the United States, Europe and Africa and is the market leader in Australia.  Also he has significant market shares in various countries of the Asian Southeast of highly growth.

In the Fortune Global 500, is the sixth larger business of the world displacing to Chevron Company in all the lists in terms of incomes and growth and in the Forbes Global 2000 of 2006 is the twelfth larger business of the world.  It has been consistently achieving market share in the United States, while shrank the sales of Ford and General Motors in the United States.
