Volkswagen of America Inc. has announced that the popular Volkswagen Passat compact car is now available with a special edition Wolfsburg model. The Wolfsburg Edition Passat model is now available in Volkswagen dealer showrooms across the United States carrying a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $26,990. According to Volkswagen, "this special edition Passat offers greater value when compared to a similarly equipped non Wolfsburg Edition Passat." Customers should anticipate this model because Volkswagen said they would only produce 6,000 units of the VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat.
What does the VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat at $26,990 has to offer? Well, check this out.
Outside, the VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat retains the exterior designs cues of the VW Passat base model. Every Wolfsburg Edition Passat model also comes with exclusive Wolfsburg Edition badge located on the front quarter panels of the driver and passenger.
Moving on the inside, customers can enjoy an elegant driving feel with VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat's standard interior amenities such as leather wrapped 4-spoke multi- function steering wheel, leather wrapped gearshift knob, leather wrapped boot, heated front seats, 12-way full power adjustable driver seat, 6-disc in-dash CD player with MP3 capability, and Sirius satellite radio with subscription. Moreover, the interior is also equipped with advanced safety systems like six standard air bags (including driver and front passenger air bags, side impact airbags, and side curtain air bags), and two optional rear side airbags. Adding up to these safety features are standard passive vehicle control safety systems including standard anti lock braking system (ABS) with 4-wheel disc brakes, Brake Assist (BA) system, and brake-wiping feature; electro-mechanical power steering system; and standard Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) with Anti-Slip Regulation and Electronic Differential Locking.
Under the hood of the VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat model comes a 2.0-liter engine equipped with a turbo charger and VW fuel injectors. The engine is capable of pumping out 200 horsepower, combined with a standard six-speed automatic gearbox with Volkswagen's Tiptronic(R) transmission system.
Moreover, the VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat also comes with Volkswagen's warranty services including 24-hour Roadside Assistance, 5-year/60,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, 4-year/50,000 mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and the 12-year unlimited distance Limited Warranty.
