Why Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska Needs Your Car

Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska was launched in 1932 by Miss Eleanor T. Miller, who had travelled to Boston and seen Goodwill Industries at work there. She brought the idea back to Nebraska and began implementing the same ideas and following the same, 'help up, not hand out' philosophy.

Today, more than ever, they need the help and support of the public. This includes donating cars and trucks. While you won't see them on sale in the retail store, you can rest assured that your donation will be used to help people in your local community. Sometimes donated vehicles are sold to people in need of cheap, reliable transportation. Usually, donated autos are sold at auction to raise the income needed to fund Goodwill's various training schemes, job placement services and other community programs.

If you have a car sitting on your driveway and you don't use it anymore, you should consider donating it to Goodwill Industries. If you're worried about the hassle, Charity Dispatch can help. It is important to note that the laws governing vehicle donation were recently altered (especially those concerning the tax deduction that vehicle donors are entitled to claim), but donating through Charity Dispatch will help you to avoid any complications and ensure that no legal issues complicate the process.

The current economic crisis has caused massive unemployment and Goodwill Industries now has it's work cut out trying to help the many people affected to get their lives back on track. This means that they need vehicle donations more than ever. Of course, they still need donations of any kind, but vehicle donations really add up and let Goodwill Industries all over the country more easily help people with job training and job placements, something that helps the local economy in other ways.

If you have ever considered donating your car to Goodwill Industries, now is the time to do so. If you act today, your donation will help somebody tomorrow.
