Xm Satellite Radio for General Motors Pre-owned Vehicles

The biggest satellite radio service provider partnered with the world’s larges car manufacturer to provide pre-owned vehicles with satellite radio. XM and General Motors recently announced that they will be working together to provide Cadillac and Hummer Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles with XM’s services. This means that XM will not only be available to new car buyers but it will also be available for those who will purchase certified used vehicles from General Motors.

More than 115,000 General Motors used vehicles will be equipped with the satellite radio. This number is expected to balloon to 168,000 by next year. This is a move on the part of General Motors to attract the attention of car buyers as the company continues to struggle against Asian car manufacturers, most prominently Toyota.

The program states that the used vehicles will come with a three month subscription to the XM Satellite Radio. The brands that will be made available with the satellite radio service are Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC Oldsmobile, Cadillac and Hummer. This shows that pre-owned vehicles not only come with aftermarket parts such as K&N filters but they also do come with added features. These pre-owned vehicles come with warranties to suit the number of miles that they have already traveled. For Cadillac Pre-Owned Vehicles, the warranty being offered by General Motors is a 6-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Meanwhile, for Hummer vehicles, the pre owned vehicles are only qualified for the pre-owned certificate if they are less than 4 years old and has not run for more than 50,000 miles.
