Are Modern Cloth Nappies More Eco Friendly?
Nowadays one of the hot topics under discussion is trying to find ways which can help us in preserving mother earth. Thanks to this growing awareness, more and more products are now available on the market, which are made of such materials that do not harm the earth. Whether you want to buy an eco friendly car or eco friendly emulsion paint, I can assure you that you will find a wide range to choose from. Now let’s say that you are a parent and you want to choose eco friendly nappies for your child. If you do a little research you will know that disposable nappies, that are so easily available in market, are not eco friendly at all. When you dispose of these disposable nappies they only add to the pile of waste mountain, so what to do in this case? The answer is simple and easy, use modern cloth nappies instead!
During the last few decades numerous researches have been conducted that clearly prove modern cloth nappies are not only good for your baby but also the environment in which we are living. This small change of using the cloth nappy instead of disposable nappies can help you in preserving the earth for the next generation as well. The question that might come to your mind is how can this be possible? Fact is that disposable nappies are not biodegradable due to which they can keep on existing on the face of earth for as long as five hundred years and more, without getting affected by the decomposition process. Now just imagine all those disposable nappies that have been used and discarded over the last decade only will keep on existing on earth for many centuries to come and keep on contributing to the pollution on earth.
One the other hand there is no such disadvantage attached to modern cloth nappies. Modern cloth nappies can be re-used as many times as you want and for as long as you want. Another thing that you might want to consider is that the valuable resources that are used to make cloth nappies will be used in lesser quantity as compared to disposable nappies where they will be used again and again. Hence, it is safe to say that by using modern cloth nappies we are ensuring that our children grow up in a much healthier environment.
