Baby Night Waking - Stop Your Baby From Night Waking

If you're having problems with your baby night waking then you'll want to read this. Many new parents struggle with their baby's sleep patterns and it can become a big problem when your busy trying to get a lot done every day. So how do we fix baby night waking problems and start getting some sleep?

Routine.. routine.. routine...

Creating a consistent sleep routine for your baby is very important. If your constantly putting your baby to sleep at different times, in different places and in different ways it will never start sleeping the way you want it to. Babies don't make their own sleep patterns, you do.


Newborns?


Now if your baby is only a few weeks old, it's sleeping patterns will be very erratic and I'm sorry but there's isn't much you can do for newborns, if they want to sleep they will, if they don't they wont. Their tiny little tummies will only hold enough food for about 2 hours, so try and nap when they nap.

But no matter how old
your baby is you should start trying to create a bedtime routine. For newborns you can do more stimulating activities in the day and calming, quiet activities at night.

For babies who are 2-4 months or older you can start creating a pre-sleep routine. This can involve anything you wish, but a good idea is to start with a bath and end with a story. Make sure you put your baby to sleep at the same time, same place and make sure they're tired but not completely asleep when you put them down.

It is very important that your baby learns how to fall asleep by themselves, else you'll be paying for it at midnight with more baby night waking!
