Baby Waking Up at Night - Top 3 Tips

Is your baby waking up at night and not sleeping the way you want it to? Don't worry your not alone, thousands of new parents are struggling with this problem and there's good news, it's fixable! I'm going to give you 3 tips to stop your baby waking up at night, so you can all get some much needed sleep!

1. Create a Sleeping routine:

If your don't have a sleep routine for your baby, then you need to start one now. It can consist of any relaxing activities like baths and stories. The most important part is sticking to the routine. Once your baby gets used to doing the same activities before sleep, it's body will understand that it's time for sleep and your job will be much easier.


2. Controlling naps:


Getting napping done correctly during the day will have a big impact on your babies sleep during the night. Normally your child will be napping three times a day up to around nine months to a year old and two times a day until around eighteen months to two years, then once a day until it is about three.

A good nap should last at least an hour and naps should be spaced out as evenly as possible to stop your baby waking at night.

3. Lighting:


A clever trick to use if your baby is bouncing off the walls around bed time is to put a dim light on. This has a very powerful affect and is important to give your baby a gradual progression from light to dark, so they can get used to falling asleep during the night.
