Foods To Avoid While Breastfeeding

Breast feeding is very important. It helps build up your baby's  immune system and keep him or her healthy, it also helps with bonding.
When pregnant you a eating for two and that is also the case when breast feeding.
The food that you consume will be passed on to your new baby and that is why it is important to watch what you eat.

While breast feeding you need to make sure you have a balanced diet. Get the right nutrients and vitamins, this will help you and your new born.
A baby can sometimes react negatively towards feeding on occasions, especially  if you have consumed the wrong foods. If this happens make a note of it and change your diet.

It is best to avoid spicy foods while breastfeeding and also oily foods.
Fruit and veg should be communed regularly. Vegetables like onions, cucumber and peppers  will help the baby recognise taste and flavor.
In the case of fruits, lemon, oranges, pineapple, strawberries can all be eaten.
Other food types like nuts, corn, wheat and fish can also be eaten.
Foods to avoid are spicy and carbonated food types. Also avoid drinking coffee throughout breastfeeding. Carbonated drinking water also needs to be avoided as of course does alcohol.
These will effect the digestive system of your child and also their sleeping patterns.

If throughout the breastfeeding period you have any problems like rashes appearing around the baby's mouth or other allergic symptoms consult your doctor.

Remember breast feeding is a precios time for both mother and baby enjoy it
