Mothers can barely get a good night sleep if the child tends to wake up several times during night due to wet nappies. Therefore night time potty training is a very important aspect for the parents. Once you complete the day time potty training and the results are far effective then you can start night time potting training. It is not advisable for the parents to start night time potty training until and unless the child is not using the toilet own his/her own. Potty training at night can be very frustrating and you may have a difficult time.
Do you need any help with night time potty training? If yes then here are some advices which you can use to make your night time potty training work easier.
Make your child drink lots of water during the day time and tell him/her to taper these fluids off before going to bed or before bedtime. Avoid giving your child any fluid at least 1 or 2 hour before going to bed. This may help your child to avoid wet beds during night. Before you go to bed you can lift your child to the toilet and make him/her pee, make sure that you don't turn on the lights. See to it that you dress your child in such a way which is easy to manage. You can also allow your child to use disposable diapers during the potty training in night unless and until you can see your child is able to stay dry for the whole night for a significant period of time.
You can always tell your child that ‘I am sure that you are not going to wet your bed during night'. Such things can be motivating for your child. Make sure that you encourage your child when he/she is dry in the morning. You can even give your child some gifts or chocolates when he/she is dry in the morning for specified number of days. This will surely motivate your child and this will make him/her to use bathrooms. Even if your child wakes up with a wet or dirty diaper in the morning see to it that you are not displeased or frustrated as it can hamper your child's progress.
Sometimes even children of 8 to 10 years face night time problems and in such cases the parents should see to it that they are not angry but instead take their help to pick up the wet mattress till the washing machine. This will affect the subconscious of the child and the concept of dry night may fit into their mind. Your frustration can have a negative impact on the child and can therefore prove to be problematic for you and your child in long run. Other than this there are number of ways to potty train your child during night.
Mothers can heave a sigh of relief and have a proper sleep every night if the child understands the night time potty training methods properly. Teach your young one all about potty with www.PottyPlease.com.
