5 myths about teething beware!

1.Coating your babys gums with jam is a no no. it doesn't soothe gums.Iit can cause tooth decay especially as baby's  milk teeth haven't come through yet.

2.Rubbing salt into the gums is a no no, salt kills babies so don't even add it to meals before serving it to babies.

3.Rubbing vinegar into gums doesnt work. Although its acid content is good for cleaning and other use around the home never use it on your child.

4.Giving sips of Cool Cows milk is not good for very young babies only give cows milk to over 1 year olds.

Please note aA recent news article states using bongela is no longer safe for children under the age of 16. Although I used this many years ago plus even on my own children we should always act with caution even if it didnt seem to do us any harm as our parents may have used it or a similar product on ourselves.Always read the instructions and seek medical help when trying new medicines on your babies and children alike.

5 facts about teething which can help ease your child's pain!

1.Never leave a baby or young child alone when chewing large pieces of carrot or apple to ease the gums although it does help with teething it can cause a choking hazard.
