The thought of teaching potty to baby boy makes many parents nervous. This is mainly because girls learn to use potty faster than that of the boys. You should actually start putting efforts when your child is twelve months. Make your boy get used to the words related to the potty like poo, pee, dry and wet. But remember that never force him to use it.
After this take your son to the place where you can buy good cute underwear's for him. The underwear's that you buy should be colorful and those with cartoon pictures on it. Also allow him to choose if wants. Prepare a proper training schedule depending upon the nursery and other timings.
Many times parents get confuse whether to teach the boy to sit or stand at the initial stages. It is always recommended that train your boy to sit first and when he has done with it, then make him learn to stand. Celebrate the successes made by him which will give him more encouragement. Do not lose heart if he does not get success, make it a point to try and try again. When he is ready with using potty in day time, then you should move to the night training.
