The thought of teaching potty to baby boy makes many parents nervous. This is mainly because girls learn to use potty faster than that of the boys. Training for potty boys is much harder and sometimes difficult. To make it an easy task you should prepare a potty boys training plan that will help you to train your son for potty in a very relaxed manner. You would not believe but it's very true that you can get success in your potty boys training only in few days with a proper plan. Therefore planning should start from the early stages itself.

You should actually start putting efforts when your child is twelve months. Make your boy get used to the words related to the potty like poo, pee, dry and wet. You can use these when you are changing the nappy or you are just talking to him. This will help you when you are actually in the training process, as your child is already used to these words and get trained faster.

Make a habit for your child to hear a story session this will make him be able to sit silently for few minutes and concentrate on what is been said. Allow your child to be independent. Also try to give him simple instructions that he can perform. This will help you to identify that your little boy has gained communication skills and is emotionally ready for the potty boys training.

Small children like to imitate those they love a lot and therefore fathers can take the opportunity to demonstrate to them. The other method is that you can have a boy doll which can act as source to demonstrate the process. In front of your son potty train the toy. Give the toy lots of praises. Your boy looking at all these will want to do the same. You should then praise your child the every time he keeps his pants dry. As far as possible encourage your son to use potty and get used to it. But remember that never force him to use it.

After this take your son to the place where you can buy good cute underwear's for him. The underwear's that you buy should be colorful and those with cartoon pictures on it. Also allow him to choose if wants. Prepare a proper training schedule depending upon the nursery and other timings.

Many times parents get confuse whether to teach the boy to sit or stand at the initial stages. It is always recommended that train your boy to sit first and when he has done with it, then make him learn to stand. Celebrate the successes made by him which will give him more encouragement. Do not lose heart if he does not get success, make it a point to try and try again. When he is ready with using potty in day time, then you should move to the night training.

In this way you can go through the process of potty boys training and get rid of nappies for your little baby boy.
