Plastic Egg Game: You need a few pairs of matching plastic eggs for playing this game. Mix those pairs and keep all the plastic eggs in a carton. Then ask the students to remove the plastic eggs from the carton. They will then match up the pairs. Once the students match the pairs, ask them to place the eggs side-by-side in the carton. The students can play this game turn by turn. Two students can mix up the plastic eggs and two other students can match the colored pairs.
Musical Puddles: Kids enjoy puddle jumping. Playing musical puddles will give them immense pleasure and it will not result in wet feet. Get two blue construction paper sheets (12/18 inches) and cut the edges of the papers in a wavy pattern so that the papers resemble the border of puddles. Count the number of heads and make one puddle for each child. Now place the poodles on the ground in a large circle. Make sure to tape the puddles on the ground so that the kids don't slip.
Each puddle should have a number. Write the numbers on the puddles with a marker pen. Now take slips of papers and write numbers on those slips as well. Fold these slips and put them in a basket. Ask the kids to stand on a poodle. Now play a springtime CD or a children's classic. The children will hop clockwise from one puddle to another.
While they hop, stop the music suddenly. When the music stops, the kids should also stop hopping. Now take a slip out of the basket and read out the number written on the slip. The child who is standing on the puddle that bears the same number that you have called out is supposed to draw a ‘X' on the puddle. Then he or she will move to the middle of the circle and sit there. The other children will continue puddle jumping and follow this ‘X' drawing procedure until only one puddle is left without the mark. The child standing on the puddle without ‘X' will be the winner.
Matching Cards: Kids really love to play this spring game. Take a few cards and draw spring flowers on those cards. Now take few more preschool cards and write the corresponding names of those flowers on these cards. Mix the cards and ask the children to pick up two cards at a time. This game will continue until all the matching cards are discovered. The child who will find out maximum numbers of matching pairs will be the winner of the game.
