For more than a century boys and girls have been playing baseball. From Little League to the Majors, baseball is undoubtedly one of America's favorite pastimes. For youth all the way to High School level baseball there is often a need to supplement what the school and parents can provide in the way of money with a fundraiser.
Baseball can seem like it's just 9 players with gloves, at least one bat, and a ball. But as the game has become more competitive, the costs associated with remaining at the top of a players game have increased. From technologically advanced bats and gloves to expert coaching, baseball can be a very expensive sport.
In the past, most baseball teams relied on the standard candy or cookie dough fundraisers. However, as the nations health has deteriorated, many teams have started looking for alternatives. Some of the best alternatives are fundraisers that are either healthy or offer new fundraising products.
When you go to pick your baseball team fundraiser, be sure and find one that is fun for the team. No baseball team ever had a successful fundraiser without having fun first.
The next most important thing is to choose a fundraising product the players can support and feel good selling. It is often best to have a team or organizational meeting and have people voice suggestions. Once those suggestions are made people can vote on the programs they feel they can support.
You should also decide if you have money to spend upfront for your fundraiser. If not you may have to pass on programs like candy fundraisers and opt instead for brochure type fundraisers where there is no cost to get started.
