Make a Bathroom Floor and Bathroom Vanity Plan
Measure your bathroom (to fit the bathroom vanity you need) at floor level and again 90cm from the floor - use whichever is the smaller measurement for your floor plan. It's best if the floor plan is drawn to scale, using squared paper makes it a much easier task.
Once the plan is made you then have 2 main options:
Firstly, you could keep everything in the position it is in now and simply upgrade all the fixtures and ifttings. This is the cheapest option with regards installation as no plumbing will need to be modified.Secondly, you could totally redesign the bathroom for your new bathroom vanity, which might include knocking through walls or simply rearranging the fittings. This tends to be the best option if you are trying to free up extra space in a small bathroom or incorporate a new product (for instance a bathroom shower enclosure). A redesign will be more expensive however, due to the extra plumbing costs and possible structural work. It’s always best to get a quote first if you want such work done.
Make sure when planning the bathroom that you leave enough space to move around in and to put a bathroom vanity. The products that you fit all need a certain amount of space to be functional, always take this into account and if in doubt ask one of our sales assistants for advice.
Remember whatever the actual size of your bathroom, it is the layout of elements within that determines how big or small the room feels. A small bathroom well planned can feel spacious, while a large bathroom poorly arranged can feel cramped.
