Just another creative writer talking about anything and everything under the sun!
Remodeling is a stressful process whether you are just redesigning one room or you are making major revisions to your entire home. Decisions about where to get your new carpets and furniture are time-consuming and frustrating. The contractor never starts the job on time and the finish date continually gets pushed back. What you need to do is stop stressing out because this process will be frustrating no matter what you do. Do your best to control the factors that are in your hands but do not worry incessantly about the factors that are not. The best plan of action is to concentrate on one task at a time. Once you can check something off that to-do list, you feel more confident and better prepared to face the other tasks at hand!
One item that is great to start looking for first is bathroom vanities. The bathroom is a small but very important room. You need to have a sink, a toilet, and a shower/bathtub but the designs you choose for these items are completely up to you. It is the perfect mix of structure and choice, which is why you need to start with this room in order to flex your interior designing muscles. Once you have them warmed up, you will feel more confident when it comes to designing the other rooms!
The vanity you choose will set the tone for the entire bathroom. This large piece of furniture is your countertop, sink, and cabinet and, as a result, takes up a large part of the room. Bathroom vanities come in all shapes, sizes, and designs. If you are someone who prefers antique styles, you can easily find a two sink vanity with antique detailing. If you love the more modern look, single sink and double sink bathroom furniture can be found in great contemporary designs.
Once you have this piece picked out, the rest of the bathroom will just fall into place. The decision of one mirror or two, the bathtub design, and the floor tile will be so much easier. You will be checking things off left and right! The bathroom vanity and furniture will be finished before you know it and the rest of the house will be as well. Good luck!
