Just another creative writer talking about anything and everything under the sun!
People often make one big mistake when they are remodeling their homes; they invest the most money and time in the kitchen, living rooms, and bedrooms. What people do not expect is that they bathroom will not only require a large amount of resources, it will also require a large amount of time! Instead of leaving it to the last minute and purchasing items that look cheaper than you would like, take the time to find quality bathroom furniture early on in the process.
The most important piece in any bathroom is the bathroom vanity. These units are usually what support your sinks and provide you with ample counter and cabinet storage place. They also sit beneath the mirror so you spend the majority of your time using your vanity while you get ready in the morning. Make sure that you pick the right sized vanity; if you and your partner are using the bathroom, invest in a double bathroom vanity. Nothing is more frustrating than two people trying to use one sink in the mornings! If it is for the guest bathroom or a smaller room, just purchase a single sink bathroom vanity. Bathrooms are small enough; there is no reason to try to fit a large vanity in too small of a space.
Once you have your vanity picked out, you can furnish the rest of the room! Most people decide to install a bathtub/shower combination but there are several other choices. If you know that you will never use the tub, consider installing a beautiful glass shower enclosure or even a steam shower! You will save even more bathroom space this way. Once you have the larger pieces into the room, you can see what other space you have left!
Consider adding a linen cabinet and elegant rug to your bathroom. If you do not have space to have the closet sit on the floor, mount this closet to the wall. It provides you the storage you need without cluttering up your floor. The last step is decorating. Since the room is small, you do not want to go overboard. Just focus on keeping the accents simple but bold. You will be so glad that you spent more time on your bathroom; everything will look great!
