Underfloor Heating v Towel Warmers

Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is an economical way of warming up the bathroom rather than a standard towel rail / radiator. Underfloor heating has no noise which means no creaking of the pipes keeping you awake at night. As it is underneath the floor it allows for more open space, rather than bulky radiators which may get in the way. Underfloor heating is also safer for families especially if there are young children who may have accidents bumping into bulky radiators or burning themselves.

An underfloor heating system will save you money on energy bills in the long term, although initial installation may be costly. The clever installation means that it can be controlled separately in each individual area rather than the whole household. The heat disperses through the air better as it provides a more even heat source preventing stuffy rooms. It is much more environmentally friendly as opposed to traditional heating systems and it is very easy to operate.

The best option for installation is to contact a professional to ensure it is fitted correctly from the start. Many homeowners are converting to under floor heating and it is thought it will be generally normal for every household to have this system in years to come.

Towel Warmers

Towel warmers are perfect for a low cost update of your bathroom design. It will take a minimum amount of time for a professional to quickly install. A towel warmer can give your bathroom that added character whether it is a traditional or contemporary ambience you want. The slightly eccentric designs of a contemporary design can give a distinctive focal point whilst the charming style of a traditional towel warmer can give your bathroom an enduring elegance.

If there are any problems with the towel warmer it can be easily accessed and sorted, quicker than underfloor heating which may be difficult. The modern designs in today’s bathroom market are more energy efficient with higher BTU’s in comparison to previous radiators that were manufactured in the past. Towel warmers (as the name suggests) will give you a practical place to keep your towel nice and snug.

Many towel warmers operate using water others use oil. Oil allows for a higher wattage to be maintained quicker and a reduced chance of leakage. A fast warm up time can be achieved with about 200 watts using a towel warmer which operates using oil.
