• The alcohol in then can cause allergic reaction in some people
• They are also highly flammable due to their alcohol content
• Their shelf life can be shorter than that of perfume oils because of evaporation
• Too much packaging are used, which not only affect the cost of the perfume but also impact on the environment in a negative way
