We are proud to announce yet another great service launched for ArticlesBase.com’s authors and reader - the new Ranking system.
The new Ranking is an objective system for author and articles on ArticlesBase.com.
The Ranking measures various parameters, such as number of inbound links, number of visits from different referrals (search engines, forums, blogs, websites, social networks, e-mails, etc.), readers ranking, number of comments, and more.
The Ranking appears next to each article with its number and symbol:
And articles in the Hall of Fame (100 articles with highest rankings) also display a goblet:
Authors also dispaly their ranking near their name, and authors in the Hall of Fame (100 authros with highest ranking) display a crown as well.
We hope you will all enjoy this new feature on our website. And for those of you wanting to improve their ranking, our editorial team has put together some tips on how to improve the ranking.
You can also have your picture showing up near each of your published articles and on your profile. This way your readers can see who you are and get to know you better.
To add your picture, enter your account at www.articlesbase.com, choose Manage Authors and Edit Info, and use the browse button to find the desired picture on your desktop. If the upload doesn’t work, the picture is probably too big. Try to resize it with any image editor available.

We are happy to annouce the release of the new and improved ArticlesBase Search Engine.
Up until now our search engine was powered by Google Custom Search.
The new search engine has some advantages over the old one:
- New published articles appear in the Index only a few hours after being published
- Search Results Pages only include articles
- The search is more accurate and tailored to the information you submitted with your article
- Search results include the Authors name and published category, and even your photo if you uploaded one

We have again teamed up with WidgetBox to bring you our latest Widget.
You can use this widget to display all or some of your published articles from our articles directory - including your Author Photo.
You can place this widget on your blog, website or favorite social network with a click of the mouse, just login to your account and you will see a new image ‘Get Widget’ - Click it once and install, its that simple.
Here is an example of an active widget on iGoogle.
If you have any questions or comments feel free to express them.
We have added the option for you to display images within your articles.
The images must be hosted on a external web site for you to link to - following this example:

We believe this can help authors that need to describe complected processes and it makes it easier to have a photo with it.
Keep your images small (you can always link to a larger image) as it can mess up the nice layout of your articles.
