Tip of the Day: Check your links before submitting your article

Tip of the DayAs you have probably noticed, many of you have had articles rejected over tiny details, such as broken links.

You’re probably thinking, “but correcting a broken link is so easy!” You’re right. But while correcting a broken link is easy for us to do, each broken links adds up for us.

Thousands of articles are submitted to ArticlesBase every day, and as you know, it takes a while to get approved (usually within 48 hours). The percentage of articles submitted with broken links, bolded texts, or other tiny mistakes is high enough that correcting each article manually would result in a larger delay in having your articles published.

Before you submit your article, quickly look at your code and make sure the links are correct. While you’re at it, make sure you didn’t accidentally bold the entire article, and break your article into short paragraphs.

    Hi Arun,

You can just sign up for ArticlesBase and submit the article. You don’t need to email it to us, since we can’t submit it in your name. I”m sure Brett will get back to you if he hasn’t already. Good luck!

I think all of us need to be patient with some delicate points at our online marketing efforts.
Writing an article is very sweet and interesting, but doing these complementary works may bother us. Let’s not forget that including working links are one of the most important reasons why some people write articles. It will increase the link popularity of your site/blog.

    Hi there,

Wondered if you could blog about tips to avoid rejection. My first article was rejected as advertisement. I do reviews for an online seller, but I’m providing objective reviews of products that readers are interested in.

    Thanks,
    Danny

Great info you are right because
i wrote a article and did not
check the links and when i went to see why i was
not getting traffice from that link
i found out i forgot to make sure my links where working
i fixed that and started to see the traffic.
look forward to your next writing.

I just had my second article published here and I read this tip afterwards! Fortunately, my link was good :O)

It’s something that webmasters don’t always consider when they change web site structure or delete pages. I try (don’t always succeed!) to make my 404 page reflect the front of my web site so that a bad link to my site finds my current web content and, therefore, shouldn’t disappoint my web visitors too much.
