5 Free Ways To Increase Traffic To Your Blog

Blogging is not as easy as it once was, traffic seems to be so much harder to come by. That's why I hope these 5 ways to increase traffic to your blog will really help you out in a big way.

I have been using these methods with a great deal of success, which is why I thought I'd share them with as many bloggers as possible.

I'm also going to try and keep away from the normal items you will see in a traffic boosting list, like web 2.0 sites and so on.

Obviously I assume that you have already signed up for the most popular social networking sites, and also post new great blog content on a regular basis. Min of 3-4 posts a week!

So without stalling anymore, here are the 5 free ways to increase traffic to your blog.

1) Sign up for a free account at Ping.fm, and add as many social networking profiles as you can into your account.

Then after every post you make from your blog you will need to log in to Ping.fm and let everyone know about it by posting an update including URL back to your new blog content.

What Ping.fm will do is update all the statuses for every social network profile that it can from just one Ping update! It's so much easier than updating every social network separately, and can get you a lot of views to your blog.

2) Use the free service at Onlywire.com which is a similar program to Ping, but using this service you will also get to syndicate your content to bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumble Upon and so on...

You can install the Onlywire toolbar into your browser which will then allow you to submit your new blog content right from that page!

So again at the click of a button you can reach a far broader audience than ever before!

3) Grab a free account from Animoto.com which builds short 30sec custom videos for you with ease! Then it allows you to upload your video to YouTube from within the Animoto site.

As soon as I complete a new blog post, I then make a custom video in Animoto all about my blog post, and the topic I just blogged about.

When you create your video put all your keywords into it so that when you upload it to YouTube people will be able to find it when they are searching for your keywords.

Once it had completed uploading to YouTube make sure you put a link back to your site in the video description, this is so that you can get traffic from interested visitors using YouTube too.

4) SEO your Wordpress blog with this free plugin...

Free Plugin To Increase Traffic To Your Blog

Download and install this super plugin on your blogs by following the instructions. The plugin will then fully optimize your blog so that you start to get traffic from much better rankings!

This works like a charm;)

5) Write free articles using ezinearticles, articlesbase and GoArticles that point a link back to your blog via a relevant keyword link.

This will not only get you backlinks, but also allow people that love your writing style to find out more about you, and read much more of the same awesome content you write.

Remember to use services like Ping and Onlywire to promote the articles you write too.

I hope that this list helps you increase traffic to your blog as it has done for me! It was a pleasure to write it for you.
