Ignore the social networks at your peril
I'll readily admit to opting out of Facebook on a personal level (you can read my previous blog on Facebook here if you want to know my reasons), however it's power as a tool for transforming user perception and experience is undeniable.
Below is a brilliant video detailing some of the quite staggering statistics coming out of the major social networking tools.
Interestingly, the most active age group using social networks is 35-44. Some might be surprised by this, after all, this is meant to be a 'youth' led change, however those stats compare pretty well to a typical recent population pyramid.
