You are trying to make money with blogging, right? You are not alone. Most people who blog, whether they admit or not, are first and foremost trying to strike it rich through the power of their prose.
But....let's be honest, most of the blogs out there aren't great. And most of the writers out here are NOT Shakespeare. (myself included..:-)
So what separates blogs that DO bring in the big bucks from those that don't?
Strategy, plain and simple. You CAN make a full time living from blogging, and you CAN start today.
One hundred dollars a day is a good goal for newbies, and it only requires a slight, subtle and significant shift in your strategy. (and is often best applied to a new series of blogs, rather than the one you are working on right now)
Take a popular product. Sign up for an affiliate account so that you can "sell" that product on your blog. And then simply create a whole host of content, very hyper specific to that particular product (not the general niche itself) and surround the text and content with ads, and direct response style copy to promote your affiliate link.
Then, very simply, re-write the content you've created, once it's indexed and listed in the search engines, and submit to the major article directories. Then submit a few press releases "announcing" your site, using free press release directories. Do a little bit of social network promotion (bookmarking and maybe a piece of link bait or two) and you WILL have a site that is not only getting ranked well for your product, but you'll have a veritable avalanche of traffic coming to your blog from the article and press release directories as well.
A hundred bucks a day is actually easy....and just a starting point. Scaling UP and out is the secret...and the very best way to build a big buck blogging empire for yourself in a hurry!
