The Secret of My Success Making Money Online Was…

My determination is to succeed in everything I do in my business. You will be amazed to know that I failed at least 20 to 30 times or more before I reached to this stage and have spent at least $10k - $20k and had lots of bad experiences before I knew what I should do in order to succeed in my business.

Started at the age of 21 when I first read about the book Rich Dad Poor Dad in the army and that actually got me started to run my own business. Back then doing business was just like a hobby and I did not take it really seriously (which what 90% of business man always do and failed in the end). As times goes by I started to realize the reality of business and types of people in general.

Strange enough, I took just what I like and know the most and started a business in selling corporate gifts offline. But the thing that really spark me into Internet Marketing as actually this package I bought about a year ago when I was curious on learning how can I convert my current offline business in corporate gifts into online business.

I was like many others and also like you who also wanted to understand and try out if this make money online thing is really real. So I start buying more courses and search online for resources to start a business online. Also I only treated it as a hobby business and was not really serious. But I realized I was only one of the handfuls of people who bought the information and actually take action on it!

It was until 1st Jan 2007, I remember I told my boss I am going to quit my job and do my internet business full time. At that moment of my life I knew this was the biggest shift of my life and I no longer will depend on a fixed salary ( Secret: the richest people in the world all have one thing in common they have business and they DO HAVE JOBS ). All of a sudden the things I do online started to change. I started to be more serious in my work and always had plans to think of ways to make even more money or more traffic for my online business.

And it was very real and true that strangely many people who ever tried to do business online WILL NEVER spend as much time as they have in a 9 to 5 job which they spend at least 8 hours working. Strangely when people do business they expect to see results for doing only 1 hour of work? It’s strange right? But when a survey was done with my students almost out of every 10 student I have only 20% will take action. How strange that result was when they enrolled they told me they want results but with zero effort?

I did not really had much choice back then but only left with I need to make my online business work or else I would not have money to even eat. Depending only on my reminding savings of only about $2,000 cash. I was constantly on my computer doing lots of marketing online and started doing some crazy stuff.

After 1 month of marketing, testing creating websites and products. Guess what? Nothing actually happened! Just imagine how you would feel when you do so much in a month but got no results and worst I used to have a mentor even look down on me at that time! My emotions and desires was really rock bottom back then.

However, because of my determination and “thick skin” within the next day I was able to pull myself up and this key element of able to pull yourself together is extremely IMPORTANT. It had helped me numerous times to think positive and move on to my goals. I was very sure what I was working on would surely work and I kept on trying to get more traffic to my blog and product pages too. Truth enough light started to show in the next month and things getting easier to do.

Although I was not earning a lot from online business only about $20 or $50 from Adsense and affiliate commission but I told myself if I do so all these work to get only $50 all I need to do now is just duplicate the system! Using the system I have created, I realized my traffic grew by leaps and bounds. I was so hooked into checking seeing where my traffic came from and started to hunt for more.

However the next down side came again, I got traffic coming in but strangely there were no money coming in! So I started to study my system and tweak it around. I realized I got lots of traffic but the traffic I got was not buying customers, I was attracting the wrong types of people to my web sites. So just from that simple tweak in my system I was able then to increase my income from $100 to $300.

At that moment I was like WOW! I finally got it running! My students who I was coaching with started to ask me hey Alvin what’s your secret. Seriously at that time I was a bit selfish and did not want to share my secret as it’s like a goldmine to me. But like what Tony Robbins says, “The more you give the more you will receive!” Before I knew Tony I was always a person who likes to give and I always do give lots more then experted from me.

So naturally I decided ok , I am going to compile 47 videos on how I do on my blog! That videos product was my first ever Internet Marketing related product and amazingly people bought it! I tried asking my mentor back then for some credits but guess what? Of all the people I ask he was the one was disappointed in me the most and even gave me the impression that I cannot make it... One hint about choosing mentors, work with mentors who truly cares about you and motivates you!

I started promoting my Internet Marketing product with my system in place but it seems that was not enough for my students or customers. They wanted more and more detailed instructions of what I do. I started to think out of the box and decided ok I am going to launch a new product with even more instructions included for newbies and it was called as today Atomic Blogging.

Basically in there I took myself as a total newbie and wrote really step by step like A B C how I would start a blog from scratch to really getting traffic results. That product itself was a sold out! I sold more copies then I had with my 1st product because I already new how to master traffic and was really good at promoting stuff.

The key factor I want to summarize in this article would be, regardless of what you do or what you have in mind. DO NOT GIVE UP on it and kept on doing it until you reach to the ultimate goal or destination you want. If you realized this real story I have just shared was actually quite easy for me to write as I am just sharing my passion in blogging that took me to the next level of creating a product out of something I was really good at. If it was not for my blog, I would not be able to even generate out a real report showing people real stuff on how to get traffic. It’s important that who ever you learn from must be able to show proof they actually did it before.

And just today I just check my account, I am happy to say then I have finally reach the 5 figure mark for my business from doing affiliate marketing and I am looking toward to generating a 6 figure income really soon! Like what Tony Robbins says, raise your standards and push up to aim the fullest will you be able to achieve amazing results! I am just reading his 1st chapter now but seriously I am enjoying the book. Wishing all people who wanted to start online business a great success, remember never give up and keep trying new things.
