Unique content can be considered as the lifeblood of your blog if you want to attract unique visitors. If your site is well-organized with great visual appeal and ease of navigation, and you have great articles that exude quality and relevancy, then you will have potential to go far in your online journey. That's what having unique content on your site is all about.
Setting up a blog has never been easier than now. Although knowing HTML will enhance your 'expertise', the truth is you don't need to. As mentioned earlier, a well-organized site will make it easier for visitors to navigate. Readers who come to your site expect to find good, informative articles. As they say "content is king" on any website or blog, and promoting unique and relevant content should be a central function of your blogging experience.
The need to promote unique and relevant content effectively will become even more critical to your site if you want to be on the good side of Google. More importantly, it will help to boost search engine traffic if you apply the right keyword or phrases in your article or blog post.
Your blog is an archive of useful information for people who visit it. How people discover your site depends very much on your knowledge of using keywords to help boost your site to a high position in the search engine ranking pages (SERPs).
Search engine traffic or organic web traffic is what you want to aim for if you are into any kind of online entrepreneurial venture. This kind of traffic is 'good juice' for you because it is targeted traffic and tend to convert much better than, for example, social traffic if you carry advertisements or affiliate programs on your site.
On the other hand, it's not worth it to try to manipulate your article by stuffing it with surplus keywords. Firstly, the search engine can detect this little trick if it reads like a verbal overdose. Readers will find the writing contrived and awkward. So keyword density should be handled with care.
Google search engine places great weight on content that's original and authoritative. For example, if you are using free articles that cover your niche, you may have to do some rewriting to avoid duplication. Not all free article sites allow you to make changes to the text, but there are some that encourage you to do it. But note that duplication is not a crime in the eyes of Google, you just do not get rewarded for it.
You must maintain a writing style that let your content flow naturally on the page. Keep in mind that you should write to capture the attention of the reader. Let it be perceived that what you write is compelling and worth reading, This is where relevancy counts because it will enhance your authority on the subject that your write.
At least to some extent, every website or blog is a publication. And everyone wants people to visit it and read some of its content. There's so much content on the Internet and so little time for most people to look at everything. This is the bane of information overload.
I believe unique content is the mainstay of your site, but there are other factors and SEO strategies that could enhance the site by giving it greater pull. For instance, If you can create effective visual communication on your site, you stand a better chance of drawing readers to it. That's adding value to it.
A flawed site is the last thing anyone would like to have and visitors are usually put off by ugly or crappy sites. However, some bloggers swear by them for the one simple reason that they 'encourage' visitors to click on Google Adsense ads - just to make a quick getaway from the blog! But these visitors will never come back if your site does not have any depth or substance.
Generally, websites are not usually considered mission-critical. They are image-critical. All websites have an attitude conveyed by the visual design. And how people react to that attitude will also determine the success or failure of the site.
After its launch, a website or blog needs to maintain "stickiness" and that requires people to troubleshoot problems, update content and make incremental changes that are the inevitable result of people using the site. It all boils down to making improvements to your site.
Most newbies are clueless when they launch a new blog, not knowing the pitfalls they will face. Remember, it's not all about eye candy. It has to do with unique and relevant content as well. Running a website or blog is an ongoing exercise because you can bet it is never finished.
