Purpose
Before writing your manifesto, think about what is important to you and what principles guide you in life. Maybe it's being a voice for the people, a cultural enthusiast or a great family member.

Answer the following questions: What values do you possess? Which values are important to you? What values do you look for in a mate, friend or other people in general? Values can be anything from honesty, integrity, personal accountability, empathy, etc.
Brainstorm
This may sound weird to some people, but what would you want people to say at your funeral? What lasting impression do you hope to leave with someone? Think about your goals and what contributions you would like to make to society and the world.
The brainstorming session is all about you and your values. Grab a pen and paper or use your Blackberry to make a list of adjectives that describe yourself. Set a limit, 10-15 adjectives is great and most importantly be honest.
After your list is complete, read it over a few times. What do the adjectives you have listed really say about you and what you find important in life? Choose any three and pretend they were used to describe a person you never met. What would you think about that person based strictly on those three adjectives?

Use everything you have written down; values, adjectives, etc. and turn it into content. Make sure to use I within your content to make your manifesto personal.
Save a copy of your personal manifesto and revisit it every year. As you change and grow as a person, change or update your manifesto. Make it a yearly tradition to post it on your blog so everyone can see how you've changed in one year.
