3 Steps To A Burn Fat Build Muscle Diet

Posted: Jun 23, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

If you are after a burn fat build muscle diet then there are just a few simple basics that you need to follow. The first of which is obviously that in order to get a muscular physique you are going to need to lift heavy weights. However, getting a burn fat build muscle diet into the equation is vital as the food you eat determines the shape you get, as you can imagine if you eat the wrong food you get the wrong shape. So, following are 3 steps which should help you take the food you eat and turn it into muscle fuel rather than fat.

  1. Increase Protein and Reduce Carbs – Protein is the core food you want to get for building muscle; it is the building blocks of the muscle tissues and your body will use it up straight away. As a body builder you want to be consuming high levels of protein through lean cuts of meat and dairy products and also take extra portions of it through supplements such as protein shakes. At the same time you want to eliminate carbohydrate rich foods which are made from refined white flour or contain lots of sugar. Of course natural carbs that are found in most fruit and veg are fine.

  2. Eat More Often – Avoid eating three big meals a day and go for about six mini meals instead. Doing this will help your body burn the fuel up quicker rather than it having to battle to try and process large quantities at a time. Of course you are not going to want to spend all of that time preparing food so a couple of these meals can be protein shakes, especially if you have one straight after a workout.

  3. Drink plenty of water – This part is often left out as people tend to just focus on the food side of the burn fat build muscle diet, however it is vital. The water helps flush out toxins created from your workouts as well as helping get rid of broken down fatty deposits. In addition to that if you are dehydrated you can also lose about 15% of your body strength. So, make sure you are drinking about 8 large glasses a day.

Although it may not seem rocket science this burn fat build muscle diet plan should have you start seeing results quite quickly. So, just keep it simple by eating smaller meals more often, increase your protein and reduce your carbs and drink more water and you will be well on your way.
