As mentioned in my previous article, interval training is one of the many ways which you can use to increase your metabolism. However, there are certain secret and "hidden" methods around which you can use to increase your metabolism too. Remember, an increase in metabolism will lead to a greater rate of fat burning, and in turn, a more defined six pack!
HIDDEN METHOD 1:
Start swimming laps using the "front crawl" stroke. There are two advantages for swimming using this stoke.
Firstly, it works your obliques as well as your abs. The twisting motion associated with doing the front crawl will constantly give your obliques muscles a good work out. A better toned oblique will give you those coveted "sex lines" which are two lines which runs from your hips to your groin region. The reason why these lines are call as such is because it has been researched that members of the opposite sex actually rate people with sex lines as very attractive.
Secondly, it is good for your overall posture training when you get back on land. When you swim using the front crawl, you will actually use a lot of your lower back muscles to keep yourself ramrod straight in the water. It is something which many people will not notice. This lower back muscles are essential for you to stand in an upright posture. Will better developed lower back muscles, you will realize that you spend less effort standing straight, and this posture will help to increase the visibility of your six pack as well as your overall attractiveness.
