A natural bodybuilder is a excellent example of incredible fitness. Bodybuilders get very lean very quickly and they udergo a huge transformation.  They often get to low bodyfat percentage in12 weeks. But how do they do it? How can they get ripped body like that, while others can´t lose even a pound of fat?

Although it seems that natural bodybuilders and fitness models stay in fantastic shape all year roound, but in reality that is not true. It is impossible to hold a "peak" all year round. During a combetition a bodybuilders fat percentage can be as low as 3-4%. But during most of the year it is 8-10%. You can get this incredible peak by using seasonal or cyclical training and dieting to build up to a peak, then ease off to a maintenance or growth phase.

So if you see a picture of a very ripped body in a magazine, then you have to understand it takes a lot of work to get there and it is almost impossible to hold very low fat percentage all year round. And it is not good for your body as well.

That is why bodybuilders have one or two peaks in a year and they push themselves very hard to to that peak and then ease off, to let their bodies recover. And then do it all again.
