Most of the sentences of the characters stay close in both versions. As a whole, the book has a broody feel about it, and it captures the angst of its teenage characters very well. The story of New Moon moves slower than that of Twilight, and the changes in the small town Forks are somewhat disturbing both to Bella and to the readers.
