Flight of the Forgotten - The Forbidden Fruit of US Government Censorship

Posted: Sep 06, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

The mysterious loss of the Jack Ketchum crew has become forbidden literary fruit, depicting a top-secret event still officially censored by the US Government. The disconnect between a governmental veil of secrecy and worldwide distribution of this true story has become a study in contrast. Centered on advances in e-book technology, independent author acceptance and outright persistence, the Ketchum crew's story is now shared in thousands of global outlets. Recent expansion into Malaysia and Singapore has added to a growing global presence and increasing awareness by a worldwide audience.

When the quest for information concerning this top-secret story began, the data provided by the US Government was limited to the general location the incident occured and an incorrect date. Ten years of persistence and exhaustive research eventually culminated in factual understanding of the events surrounding this horrific tragedy. From the perspective of the US Government however, nothing has changed. Information that was censored years ago under the guise of national security remains inaccessible to this date.

From the Central Intelligence Agency and well-placed officials at the Pentagon, to senior US civilian leadership, the US Government remains adamantly opposed to sharing this story with anyone outside the official "need to know" circle. The opportunity to share it with a worldwide audience is therefore both a technological feat and an absolute privilege. The loss of the Jack Ketchum crew is a story with both a highly unique status and sourcing.

This story does not represent another senseless release of classified information or unveiling of classified documents. The majority of details concerning the loss of the Jack B. Ketchum crew are provided by the victims directly. The fact that they were all killed on June 13, 1945 makes this story a supernatural experience of the highest order. The weight of US Government censorship has no bearing in the realm of the Jack B. Ketchum crew.

The life after death aspect of their story should comfort anyone that has ever lost a loved one. The storyline of the mystery is provided by fifteen American airmen that were murdered on their way home by those they served with honor in the process of winning a world war. To say that they made the ultimate sacrifice misrepresents the truth. The Ketchum crew's lives were taken, not sacrificed.

The tragic loss of the Jack B. Ketchum crew is a complex and profoundly sad story that is well worth the effort to understand and accept the message being shared. The resulting awareness also shows the merit of not entrusting governmental leadership with blanket rights, including censorship. In the case of the Jack B. Ketchum crew, the keeper of the secret has more to lose than national security, for the keeper of the secret is also the murderer.

It's a privilege to finally be able to share the story of the Jack B. Ketchum crew with a worldwide audience. Although still very much entrenched, US Government censorship of this story is for the most part ineffective in the age of e-books and independent authors. Previous threats to my personal and professional welfare now lack the substance they once enjoyed and the US Government must settle for simply maintaining the facade of keeping this story secret.
