I currently work in the trade show display industry doing digital marketing. I would like to share my experiences and knowledge gained through my profession.
The only way to market your product easily or to attract the people in short time is by well planned advertisements. But in today’s multimedia world advertising expenses can be extremely costly. However, there are alternative advertising methods such as trade show marketing. Many companies use trade show as a launching ground to introduce new products but it has other benefits. Trade Shows are great for branding and lead generation. What other venue allows for face to face interaction with visitors that come to the show looking for your specific product or service. Trade Show marketing if done properly can be a very lucrative marketing tool for your company. However, you must be well educated and prepared on the details of exhibiting. With the proper planning the show should go off without a glitch. Provided below are some tips on trade show exhibiting I hope you find the very useful:
- Display Infrastructure
Having the proper trade show display and layout can make world of difference in attracting show attendees. Make sure the size and look is appropriate for the show and the booth space you have.
- Accessorize
Make sure to place attractable furniture and the necessary accessories such as literature racks and banner stands in display area. Also make necessary seating arrangements to attract people.
- Greetings
Be pleasant when greeting show attendees. Don’t come on to strong or rumble on like a used car salesman. If possible provide them with free promotional items. These items are good for long-term brand retention.
- Multimedia Use
Use video, lighting, and even scent to help attract show visitors. These features along with the use of well designed trade show graphics can help set your trade show booth apart amongst the crowded convention center.
-Customer Interaction
Always interact with the people show them the advantages of the product and also the various benefits they can get from the product. Demos are always a good way to display the use of your product amongst the visitors.
