One major tanning salon was looking for a unique way to display its products and services to new and existing clients throughout their salons that displayed prices that varied at each location, as pricing was dictated by geographical location.
The only choice was to deploy a digital signage system that could manage frequent updates to various locations. The system had to re-enforce the state of the art look of the business.
The company had 70 locations throughout Kentucky, Maine and West Virginia with a further 20 stores planned for 2010. By incorporating fantastic pictures with unique content the displays provided a strong focal point for customers to select the services and products they required. The display was also used to up sell and drive product sales without he aid of a pushy sales person.
The screens were split into two parts, the top part was used as a menu board for advertising products, services and pricing available at that location. The lower half of the screen is updated regularly with the latest promotions or sales. This method of advertising enables the tanning centre to promote new products in a much faster time to market without the related print and shipping costs that are associated with traditional printed in-store signage.
The content is updated overnight, whilst the store is closed enabling the new promotions to be live the following morning. This type of fast promotional change is essential if a business is to remain ahead of the game, whilst providing their customers with the latest promotions and information about he company and the products is supplies.
