Love This Camera !
I originally bought this Canon PowerShot sd780is Camera in April 2009 for a Disney trip so I could just slide it in my pocket and go without the bulk of other cameras.It was so sleek and compact that I thought i actually lost it a few times and it was in my pocket! It has the least lag time when taking multiple pictures of any point and shoot I looked at.
The pictures were amazing, and the auto focus works great for almost any situation. After an accident with the camera the warranty company couldn't fix it so they refunded me my money and I bought the same one again 2 yrs later, even thought there were newer models this camera it is well worth the money. Awesome little camera..and the view finder on this model comes in extremely handy when trying to take a picture in the blazing sun and you can't see the screen. The hdtv video capabilities comes in very handy to :)

Brilliant !
If you're looking for a small camera with an "optical" viewfinder in addition to the digital viewfinder, this is as good as it gets! Sorry, but when you're over 40 you just plain can't see the image on those itty-bitty digital screens, especially outdoors in bright sunlight. Consequently the resulting photo becomes guess-work at best. An optical viewfinder is a must! Canon PowerShot sd780is

Best Little Camera !
Haven't had this for very long but I like it. It's very small and easy to carry. It fits in a shirt or pant pocket or a small purse without causing any bulging of said pocket or purse. Photo quality is good so far and stabilization is also good. Keep in mind that this is a very small point and shoot camera so the zoom is what it is for this size camera.
The only problem with this camera is the "on" button. This button is flush with the camera body so it can take a little while to hit the button just right to turn the camera on. If you have very large hands you may have some difficulty in turning the camera on and off.
The negative review about the view finder being useless is not true. If you're outside it's sometime hard to see the LCD screen so the view finder is definitely handy to have.
I have 2 other Canon cameras and I'll admit I'm partial to the brand with it's ease of use and good photo quality on most of their cameras . I now have a small, med and large size Canon camera for all occasions. I purchased 2 of my cameras from Amazon because of the pricing, service and return policy.

I didn't realize until after reading many, many reviews of SD cards out there that there are Class, 2, 4, 6 & 10 SD Cards and again, the general consensus seems to be that SANDISK SD Cards have the most accurate/reliable transfer rate (They are also the most expensive).
The actual sizing of the digital camera is small, just like a credit card. Anyone can easily drop it inside their shirt pants pocket, and particularly the ladies out there with extremely small bluejeans, I'm positive this can be dropped directly into your rear pants pocket as well. It is extremely light!
The size/weight of this Canon PowerShot sd780is is almost negligible. It's tiny, lightweight and you'd almost forget you're carrying it around. Fits in my jean pockets or my backpack cellphone case without any issues. Recently took this on a snowboarding trip and it stood up to the cold and some wetness without fail.
