Discover Why Digital Menu Boards Are Replacing Static Signage

Every business is fighting for every sale and using every tool they have to win each order, now businesses are moving away from static signs and replacing them with digital menu boards.

No matter if your business is selling shoes or Asian food, digital menu boards have their advantages as one Asian restaurant found out when they replaced their static advertisements with dynamic electronic signs to provide consistent sleek messaging to customers.

With over 160 locations throughout America this food chain needed to have the right solution at the right price, previously they had used printed menu panels that worked that worked as one large static sheet to display all the menu items, not only did the static signs drain finances (new items added to menu resulted in extra printing costs) and would also take up to a month and a half before the item was officially on the menu.

The two main driving forces behind the change was:

  1. To increase menu innovation and pricing flexibility
  2. To open up a channel to communicate with customers when they were most open to their messaging – in the restaurant.

The solution?

Well the solution was after two months of running tests and comparing them to the same period last year, they discovered their sales actually increased for the menu items that were featured. So the project was then deployed to the other branches nationally. The displays are installed in portrait orientation near the entrance of the dining in seating area.

The content was created using Flash and stored on the internal memory cards that are secured in position.

So no matter what your business is, if you use digital signage and the content is compelling your customers will buy it.
