Advertising through mobile and internet media has become quite a fashion amongst modern brand owners and advertisers. Providing the brand message to customers in a discreet manner, mobile and internet advertising media provide effective promotion solution for various brands and services. The dynamic nature of the market and the changing norms of buying behaviour amongst customers are two reasons that have supported the interest of internet and mobile advertisers.

It is not surprising to find out that the behavioral norms of modern customers have changed.  Change is after all expected in every individual's life. With the increasing number of brands in the market, sometimes it is mind boggling for customers to pick up a product that best matches with their expectation or requirement. They need one such channel of communication through which they can access the brand information quickly. Mobile Advertising or Internet Advertising practices, in this context, provide easily accessible brand messages to customers. One doesn't need to switch on the television or radio or even move outdoors to access the brand message. It comes right in the inbox of one's mobile phone or as an email in one's mail box. Internet and Mobile media are two exclusive means of communication as the brand message is delivered to customers through their personalized devices. Customers also have the sole liberty whether to access the brand message (if found interesting or useful) or simply ignore it (if found irrelevant or unwanted). Customers also decide on their own whether they go through the brand message then and there or keep back to access only when they are free.

The innumerable launch of various mobile phones along with embedded web surfing facilities is yet another advantage for mobile and internet advertisers to communicate with the target audiences. With pocket internet facility, customers can access the brand message either through their inboxes (of mobile phones) or through the use of internet media. Internet and mobile revolution is already creating a change in advertising planet, the importance of these two advertising media is further expected to grow.

Advertising has a multifaceted link with market in every society. Free flow of information about goods and services offered sale is possible only through an established market.  The more consumers are informed about the various goods or services in the market, they will be better equipped to make their purchase decisions that are appropriate to their own needs. In the market, consumers have the sole preference to choose a brand or not. If the advertising message of the brand seems appropriate, customers may buy the product. A strong brand message if conveyed in a not so effective market can also foil the promotion objectives. So, it is best to establish and support a prolific market that may help brand owners to easily position their brands.

Advertising enhances the market performance by providing useful information to prospects and customers. Advertising also enable firms to promote the various utilities of their goods or services. It also enhances a healthy competition amongst the various brand owners. No business activity is competition-free.  Advertising hones the competitive skill for brand owners enabling them to position their brands more effectively than competing brands.  However, as mentioned before, a well-established market is a must for any advertising campaign of any brand or service.
