Personalized Coffee Mugs for Coffee Lovers

For certified "coffee-holics", personalized coffee mugs are definite must-haves. Not only do coffee mugs allow coffee-drinkers to have their daily caffeine fix, but also to show much of their personalities. Personalized coffee mugs can have a name printed on or can bear the design and color of choice, making them unique. Coffee mugs as promotional giveaways are also quite effective. For just $1.50 a piece, a company's logo or brand name can be imprinted on them.

Facts: There are more than 2.25 billion cups of coffee consumed around the world each day. In the US alone, 330 million cups of coffee are consumed daily. More than half of the American population drink coffee each day, each one capable of downing about 3 to 4 cups in 24 hours. And in 2008, coffee was proclaimed as the leading hot beverage of choice by convenience store customers.

Yes, coffee lovers number by the millions, which makes coffee one of the world's most prized commodities. It has become a multi-billion dollar industry, allowing any coffee-related business to flourish. Take coffee mugs, for example.

Mugs in general have been around since about 10,000 BC. Since then, mugs have evolved, varying in material and design – a direct result of man's non-dwindling need for hot beverages like coffee.

Today, coffee mugs have become part of everyday life. They've become staple drink wares since many people are hooked to coffee. What makes people hooked to coffee is caffeine, a fast acting drug. Caffeine blocks adenosine, a chemical which sends the signal to the brain telling that the body's tired and needs to sleep. When caffeine enters the body, cells quickly absorb it. Caffeine then intercepts adenosine, making the brain wide awake. This is the kind if buzz that coffee lovers can't get enough of.

Because of this stimulating effect, coffee has become man's "fuel". And since 3 to 5 cups of coffee are needed to stay alert and awake each day, many people have deemed the use of coffee mugs a necessity. An absolute coffee drinker would probably own about 3 coffee mugs – one at home, one in the car, and another one at work. At work, one can expect to see a coffee mug present in every cubicle or work station, in the pantry, or even during meetings.

Some coffee lovers even go to the extent of making their coffee mugs personalized like scrap books. For example, if the owner is a well-seasoned traveler, the mug could contain vacation photos, and even the airline tickets used. This kind of personalized coffee mug helps bring fun memories back, somehow relieving stress especially when at work.

While there's the need for caffeine buzz, then there would always be the need for coffee. And when there's the constant need for coffee, then coffee mugs would always be a necessity. Personalizing them is just a bonus. It can either be a way to market and get your business or brand out there, or simply a way to stand out and be unique.
