When considering marketing through the use of promotional products or any advertising campaign, it is important that quality is a top priority. If you are branding or labelling any item with your logo, from a business card to a key ring, to a window display to a television commercial, you must consider quality. Once branded, this object now represents your brand and the quality of the item will then correlate for the user to quality of the brand. Careful consideration and attention to detail can ensure that your promotions do not create a negative connection between client or potential customer and your business. You must always consider brand image and brand values when placing your name or logo on anything. Therefore it is crucial that you choose a trusted and experienced supplier. This can sometimes mean that you have to pay a little extra money, but as is often true, you pay for what you get. Spending a little extra to ensure fantastic quality and a longer lasting product and superior service and design is more often than not the smarter and safer option. The better the product the more inclined your target market will be to use it, wear it and keep it which in the end maximises their connection to your brand and company and maximises brand exposure to others through their use of the product.

Branded promotional key rings are a cheap and effective way of promoting your business. They are effective in communicating your products, services and gaining brand exposure with the public. Your options for the aesthetics and functions of your key ring will be very important when undertaking a product as your promotional medium. The most important step is securing the product that delivers the right message for your brand. You must always remember that once branded, the product represents your company so it must be in line with the values of your brand. Also research the prices and qualities offered to you from different promotions companies. This will ensure that you get a good price for the product you commit to. You must research your target market as well so that the product is in line with their tastes, interests etc. You should already have this information through your business research.

Design:

The design is a crucial factor in choosing a promotional product. Make sure you pick a material, function, quality and aesthetic that represents your brand image. Consider selecting a key ring with a function, such as a torch, bottle opener or USB stick. People are much more likely to use a key ring that provides a useful function.

Branding:

Consider your printing options. Your two major options are pad printing or laser engraving. Pad prints are cheaper and better if you need colour but will not last as long. Laser engraving is a little more expensive but last longer and give a more polished finish. Consider the different options of branding. Think about whether you use your logo or your slogan or both? Whether you include you website or not, etc.
