Saving a relationship is easier than many people realize. There are three things you can do that will make your efforts to save your relationship really pay off. I like to call them the three “P’s” of saving a relationship.

2) Penance. Believe it or not you have to do a little bit of penance (don’t forge the “sin no more” part of penance) in order to make things better. Neither of you are blameless but you’re going to have to give a little more if you’re the one trying to make things right between the two of you and ask for forgiveness. You’re also going to have to change the behavior or attitude that got you here in the first place.
3) Positive attitude. This final “P” may be the most important for many relationships on the verge of collapse. Being positive can turn so many things around you’d be amazed. Be positive of your success. Avoid negative thoughts and actions. Don’t complain. Don’t nag. Compliment instead. It can make all the difference in the world when saving a relationship.
