The Pain of the Breaking Up and How to Deal With it

If you have ever been punched in the stomach, or lost a close loved one, or been told you have a severe incurable disease, then you probably know what the pain is like to break up from someone that you love. It is horrible and can consume your life for a while, but there is hope at the end of it all.

Unfortunately, most of us human beings are slammed by this terrible pain at least once in a lifetime, and for some, many times more. It does tend to get a little easier each time through, but it is never easy.

The best thing to do if you find yourself on the losing end of a break up is to cry, yes cry. Cry hard for as long as you want (within reason) to get it all out. We all need to release our emotions and crying is a good way to do that. Then surround yourself with family and friends. Better yet, it is ok to cry on the shoulder of family or friends. It helps the healing process.

Then deal with each day as it comes. Do not worry about tomorrow or next week or next month or next year. Just get through today.

In time, the pain from the relationship will fade. It may takes weeks and even years, but rest assured, each day will be a little easier than the last. Hang in there and let time run its course.

Remember, there are no guarantees in life or in relationships.
