What a Woman Can Do to Save a Failed Relationship

What can a woman do when a man decides to leave? How can she save a failed relationship? Women react to these problems in different ways and do things that feel right for them but are actually making mistakes that turn their relationship situation from bad to worse.

Here is an outline of surprising do's and don'ts for women faced with relationship problems.

Do not try to "fix" things.

When a man tells you that he wants to end the relationship, the first thing you do is try to figure out "why?" It is normal to feel this way as you want to understand why he stopped loving and caring the way he used to.

Most of the time you over analyze the situation and end up in frustration because there was no clear reason why he stopped feeling it for you. Although this situation will drive you crazy, it is critical that you do not panic. Have a relaxed mindset for this will help you think wisely and not do crazy things on impulse that might push your man away.

Do not try to talk things through with him.

It seems logical that when relationship problems arise your first reaction would be to have those "heavy" talks. Most women think that talking, convincing or even criticizing is all it takes to make things better.

Even if you wanted to make him see how much you still care and love him, even if you felt that "better communication" or counselling was the answer and even if you were willing to do and be just about anything to make things right again, these "talks" would still make him more distant.

Men have the tendency to avoid emotional confrontations and they respond differently when you try to "TALK" your way back into having a great relationship. Trying to tell a man all the things you can see that he can't is not a great way to approach things.

Do not "lose yourself" in the relationship.

If you had always been the one "doing it all" in your relationship then you need to stop pushing for more affection, more commitment and communication from him.

If it seems that you've given everything and yet you're not happier and neither is your man that's because you're not the same woman he fell in love with. You have sacrificed so much that you lost your own identity. You are not in touch with what makes you happy and doing things you used to enjoy like reading, exercising or hiking on weekends.

Try to make a shift in the way you feel about yourself and the relationship. It is time to bring back the woman he used to know, that fun, independent and relaxed woman who did a lot less and let her man step up and do his share in the relationship.

Avoid the drama.

Don't get too emotional. Even when it's tearing you apart inside try not to show how hurt you are. The more he saw this, the less he will pay attention to you and your feelings.

Telling him how hurt you are will even make him more distant. Do not add emotional stress for both of you at this time when you're still figuring out how to save the failed relationship.

Make the moments spent together more relaxed, less stressful and more pleasant. Don't make yourself an icon for unpleasant feelings.

Do inspire your man.

Be the woman he felt passionate about in the beginning. Forget about all your negative feelings, fears, resentments, over-analyzing, over-worrying and working too hard on the relationship.

Bring back the warm, feminine personality that attracted him to you. When you have gotten back to yourself, you will have that natural ability to inspire your man to be closer to you.

A failed relationship is not hopeless. There is a way to reverse a break-up and re-ignite his passion and feelings toward you.

Remember what brought you two together in the first place.

Remember what attracted him to you when you first met.

Get back to who you are and stay true to yourself.
