4 No-Brainer Success Secrets to a Thriving Coaching Business

Posted: Dec 16, 2009 |Comments: 0 |

When I first started my coaching business I was like many of you.

I struggled to get that next client. I labored to get in front of the right people. I networked like a fool, determined I was going to make this work.

Then, I have a big “duh!” moment. I discovered 4 no-brainer secrets that transformed my life and my business. After implementing these secrets my business has taken of. I am no longer worried about getting that next client, I am always talking to the right people and I don’t waste my time networking with the wrong people.

I would like to share these no-brainer secrets with you, and show you how you can do exactly the same thing.

     1.   Package Your Services

Coaching is an intangible service. You need to make what you do as tangible as possible. People need to know what they are going to get. What is the ultimate outcome? How is this going to make a difference in their lives?

Package your services into steps towards your prospects greatest desires. Packaging your services into benefits-oriented programs and products will give your prospects something they can sink their teeth into and make working with you more appealing.

     2.   Automate

Your time is valuable. Leverage your time doing the activities that will bring you money. Automate as many activities as you can that are necessary, but not directly linked to income generation. This will allow you to focus your time on making money and helping others.

     3.   Grow Beyond 1-on-1 coaching

Most coach training schools focus solely on the concept that coaching only happens when you interact directly with 1 client at a time. This is a limited view of coaching.

Coaching is about transforming people’s lives for the positive in whatever method possible. This can be done through books, ebooks, CDs and many other products and programs. Growing beyond 1-on-1 coaching will open the doors to consistent, predictable, steady income

     4.   Re-Purpose, Re-Use, Re-Leverage

This is my favorite and the biggest “duh!” for me.

If you have been a coach for a while or have gone through coach training, you already have a plethora of content and material. Look through the material you already have. What article can you expand into an ebook? What workshop can you transform into a teleclass? What presentation can you record and turn into an MP3 download? Turn these into benefits-driven information products to add to your multiple streams

It’s hard to convey the difference in my life and my business now as opposed to before learning these secrets. My business has serious momentum, I am having people seek me out, doors have opened, and I know exactly where I’m going.

And I have that most precious of commodities – time. Before, I was working 60+ hours a week and not moving anywhere, now I can enjoy my life, my family, and my business.
