Advertising 101 – Why Should You Choose Promo Items Over Other Forms Of Advertising?

Posted: Sep 30, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

In today's business world there are a variety of advertising mediums to choose from including: online, print, television, radio and billboards. All of these forms of advertising are effective ways for any business owner to grow their business, large or small, but one of the most effective forms of advertising and also one of the least expensive are promotional items.

Three Reasons Why Promo Items Are Better

Reason 1 – The cost of most promo items are significantly lower than almost all other forms of advertising. For example: you can spend about $120 for a quantity of 50 custom coffee mugs (depending on the printing company) compared to the minimum cost for placing a banner advertisement online which costs between $250 and $500.

Reason 2 – Promo items are seen by more people over the course of their lifespans than any other form of advertising. Think about how many promo coffee mugs, baseball caps, pens, tote bags or note pads you have received in your lifetime and ask yourself how long did you keep those items? Every time you used those promo items you were seeing that company's logo, website address or phone number and most likely called that company when you needed services like theirs.

Reason 3 – Promo items are reused often. Besides being used by the individual who receives the promo item, they are also used when they are given away to friends or family members plus purchased in 2nd hand clothing or thrift stores across the country.

The Key To Success With Promo Items

In order to choose the right promo items it's important to choose items that will be used and reused again and again instead of being used once and then thrown away. Before ordering a quantity of promo items it's important to think about your customers and then order promo items that they would want to use on a daily basis.

For example: if your business is in the construction industry, you might want to order coffee travel mugs, baseball caps, custom hard hats, pens or note pads because these are all universal items that your customers would want to use every single day.
