There are people that are now coming online in droves trying to learn how to do affiliate marketing. With the massive growth of the internet these people want to be able to quit their day jobs and get their share of the millions being made on the internet. Unfortunately for them, 95% of them will fail and only 2% will ever make enough money consistantly where they can finally walk away from their jobs. Sad, but true.

If you are new to affiliate marketing there a few affiliate internet marketing tips that I'd like to share with you. Knowing these could make a big difference as to whether you succeed or fail online.

#1. The first thing is if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Don't fall for get rich quick scams, overnight riches, guaranteed money. The only people making money from those offers are the con artists that promote them. Do not walk, RUN away from that garbage!

#2. Learn to build a website and learn at least basic html. There are those that will say that this isn't necessary, but I'm telling you this from experience. Some of these web editors that don't require html knowledge are great, however, there will come a point in time when you'll need a professional looking website or web page for a sales letter and, if you're not able make small changes to it you'll be forced to outsource the work. If you have no html knowledge you'll be forced to pay someone every time you want to make a minor change to the page. This runs right into my next tip.

#3. Test and track EVERYthing! Your ads, your headlines, your sales copy, EVERYTHING! This is your money being spent my friend and if you're not testing and tracking everything then you don't know where it's going or how you can reduce your costs. The only way to know for sure what's working and what's not is by testing and tracking. Learn it, live it and get used to it. This means that you'll be making frequent changes to your pages so you'd better learn some basic html.

#4. Build a list for every market you enter. It's a proven fact that it's much easier to sell someone a second time than it is to continue finding new customers. This applies online and offline. You want to have an email list of both customers and prospects that you're contacting at least once a week. Get an autoresponder, write 52 messages and you're done for a year. Send an occassional braodcast offer on something they can't resist. Also, it's a proven fact that most people won't buy anything until they've seen an offer at least seven times so you need to start building lists right away

There are, of course, many other important "do's and don'ts", but these are very important to know. Get off on the right track, make big money and don't look back. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated and do clean, honest business and you'll have not only customers for life, but you'll make a lot of friends too.
