An Isagenix Review From Third Party Marketer

Posted: Jan 31, 2011 | Views: 147 |
Isagenix is another in a long line of health and nutrition products being marketing via the network marketing model. Their stated intention according to their main web site is to impact world health. Overall nutrition, skin care and cleansing are the three product divisions that Isagenix offers.

One of their more popular products is called Cleanse For Life and is marketed as a weight loss product with benefits for overall good health and increased energy levels. The bottles of Cleanse for Life are sold in a two pack, and each 32 ounce bottle is good for two cleansing days. This product appears to be recommended as a part of a complete system designed to cleanse your body over a 30 day stretch. The same is also part of an accelerated cleansing program, which is 9 days. Isagenix claims that one should expect a 7 lb weight loss over this 9 days. Also, they seem to have much in the way of meal replacement options.

The whole line of products is available from the Isagenix website, and also through independent retailers. They have a business model which is similar to that of Avon's.

Isagenix shows complete ingredient lists for all of its products. I'm not necessarily sold on the idea of all these pills and such being billed as the complete solution for weight loss. Surely most people can find success through the implementation of a low calorie diet, regular exercise and a single, effective weight loss supplement, or even no weight-loss products at all. I don't like to think just how many people are taking weight-loss products without being concerned with or aware of the possible effects, simply because they want to look better.

The ingredients listed for Cleanse for Life product are Pau d'Arco inner bark, Aloe Vera leaf, suma root, IsaLyte trace minerals, eleutherococcus senticosus root extract, fennel seed, burdock root, peppermint leaf, licorice root, choline bitartrate, inositol, betain HCL and I-methionine. Sometimes I get the notion that many of these companies just put ingredients in their products with unusual names so that people have no idea what it does, or what it is supposed to do. When I was still a kid I had tons of Burdock growing around my mother's house. Never heard that Burdock root had any weight loss benefits. And I have no idea any of this stuff is except for peppermint and aloe vera. And if anyone approaches me with choline bitartrate they are going to get it!

No single ingredient on this list that sticks out as a reliable, effective supplement for weight loss. Although many of the items may be relatively healthy in other ways, It may be more effective to find a proven fat burner and appetite suppressant on the list for maximum weight loss. Standard weight loss supplements are noticeably missing from the ingredients list.

We can go on forever about the products as there are numerous to be looked at.

I first started to review Isagenix only relative to people's ability to generate a good income as an independent retailer. I had a lot of trouble tracking down any solid numbers being provided by anyone out there who is in fact doing very well with it.

Isagenix pays it's retailers with a binary income plan. Certainly my least revered of all network marketing pay plans. I don't like the theory of getting paid just on the weaker leg. It does force each individual balance their downline but it also supplies a rather small percentage of payouts overall. Here, the company is only paying out on less than 50% of it's revenue right off the bat. The Isagenix website specifies an average profit margin around 30%. So what one is really looking at in terms of income potential is having to sell tons and tons of product and recruit massively to even make any recruiting efforts worthwhile.

In case you are not familiar, a binary matrix is essentially two legs. You will be putting your new recruits into the smaller of the two legs and trying your best to manage and balance them because you will only be paid on the small leg. So it is sometimes difficult to manage whom you are adding where in your downline and can make it hard to predict the future production. But basically, to put it in simple terms you are getting just a few dollars every month, per person, within your smaller leg.

As far as I'm concerned, as a biz opp, Isagenix could be best suited for those of you who who use the products because they are getting results from them and believe in them and are not terribly concerned with making big time money, and maybe one who is more interested in getting products at the wholesale price and perhaps making a bit of extra cash here and there. This is not an opportunity oriented around fast money or simple profit percentages. This is a group of product users who also sell.

So there is a specific market for this company. I know people who've been taking and selling Shackley products for many years, and they aren't concerned about the fact that they may only make an additional several hundred dollars per year with it. And certainly for some individuals a business such as this one serves as a social life. It's a very social type of work.

It seems to me, a product line link this could be very conducive to a retail store-front. If you've got a substantial local population focused on wellness, or if you control your own health food or grocery store then this could be a great way to market your products, as opposed to the traditional method of word of mouth. However, this would be almost entirely a retail sales strategy than a recruitment strategy.

I do not sell products for Isagenix and I have never personally used the products.

I simply wanted to learn a bit about the company and shed some light on the income potentialities from an unaffiliated party view.

The key reason why some firms thrive while some implode during an financial recession is still a puzzle to many people business-owning business owners. Some wrongly assume that all businesses should suffer via recessionary cycles. But the truth is that some companies are usually essentially recession-proof, and it is not necessarily because they are much larger, better known, or a lot more generously capitalized.
