Animal Print Bikini - Why You Need One This Summer

The most popular animal print bikini by far is the zebra print.  Elegant in black and white this style keeps you looking classy while being just a bit daring.

Leopard prints are a bit racier and have been seen on many celebrities this season including reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian, singer Miriah Carey and actress Hayden Panetierre.

Cheetah print and giraffe print swimsuits are more rare and will make you stand out from the crowd. While the tiger print Michael Kors is a great option for those who have extra cash to splash.

Of course you don't have to stick to the traditional colors when searching for the perfect bikini, many designers have mixed it up and embellished on the animal theme by offering swimsuits in neon pink and purple's or even rhinestones, crystals and chains for that extra bit of bling.

Bikini's featuring animal prints come in many shapes and sizes.  While a tiny triangle bikini might look good on you if you're a supermodel, there are cuts out there perfect for you.  Those with a small but should try the bandeau tops or a design that offers padding.  If you have large breasts keep an eye out for a top that offers support in the form of underwire and structure.  If you have bigger hips try a bikini that has tie sides allowing you to adjust the size of the bottom to suit yourself.

If you are loving the animal print trend but not quite feeling confident enough to sport a bikini why not try and animal print monokini.  This cut out one piece will keep you looking sexy while covering just a bit more than your regular itsy bitsy bikini.

A current hot trend is to add a large oversized tshirt with an animal motif over your swimsuit as seen recently on Nikki Hilton, Halle Berry and Cristina Aguleria

Whether you want to embrace your tribal, jungle side or just add a bit of spice to your summer wardrobe the animal print bikini is the perfect way to get in fashion this season.

The two piece suit at the time was a scandalous suggestion, and actually did not reveal itself until the mid 1950's when Paula donned the bikini herself and appeared on the famous Surfers Paradise beach on the east coast of Australia.
