Dallin Larsen and Dynamic Essentials History: The Monavie Establisher
Early in 2003, Dallin Larsin joined forces with a former Olympian, Henry Marsh, and his brother, Randy to start a company called Monarch Health Sciences, whose goal was to help people lose weight. Dallin had already been involved with network marketing for a long time, at companies such as Dynamic Essentials and USANA.
Dallin and his two partners generated almost $2 million from multiple investors, but went through the money very quickly on research and development. For people to lose weight using the Monarch system, it required them to make some very serious life changes, which most were unable to do. The three partners were very close to closing their business.
During this time, Dallin was also responsible for his wife and eight children. Failure was not an option, so he opted to take a second mortgage in order to help sustain the company for awhile longer.
Just as this happened, a friend told Dallin about the açai berry. He did a search on Google and found all this research about it being packed with nutritional value. So Dallin asked one of his scientists to do some research.
In only 4 short months, the açai berry was introduced with 19 other berries and MonaVie hit the shelves.
The timing could not have been better. A doctor, Nicholas Perricone, had come on The Oprah Winfrey Show and named the açai berry as one of the world's greatest superfoods. MonaVie found a few key people who believed in the product, and they went out and started sharing MonaVie with others. Soon the product was spreading like wildfire.
There is an unfortunate sentiment that direct marketing can be an illegitimate business. Companies that intend to deceive are usually shut down very quickly, however. Dallin will always proclaim that he is "proud of the industry I'm in."
Dallin says that he can't control other companies, but he can make sure that MonaVie operates in an exceptional manner, that we're backing up our products, and that our distributors are not making outrageous claims. In 2009, Dallin was named Ernst and Young's "Entrepreneur of the Year."

MonaVie's great success does not necessarily translate to each of its distributors, however. Each person is responsible for their own business, and learning to generate leads for their business is imperative if you are serious about making money in network marketing.

The key reason why some firms thrive while some implode during an financial recession is still a puzzle to many people business-owning business owners.
