Engraved corporate gifts are quality promotional give aways

Engraved corporate gifts often confuse experienced buyers - and if truth be told, promotional gift sales people as well - who ask for engraving when they mean etching; and they are not alone in not quite knowing the difference.

Hand engraving is not used to engrave a personalized business gift now due to the economics of the labour market; and it slow, expensive and not very accurate and only seen in some departmen stores for engraving one-off pen gifts. Also, it is no where near as good as laser engraved corporate gifts.

If you want intricate and complex motifs and logos to be reproduced reasonably cheaply then laser engaraving is the process of choice.

However, it is a fact, that many corporate logo gifts which appear to be engraved are not engraved at all and sometimes even the most experienced eye can be initially misled.

Personalized business gifs such as glass and crystal are often branded using a stencil and a sandblasting cabinet. Nothing inherently wrong in this providing the customer is aware that they are paying for sandblasting and not laser engraving or chemical etching.

The sandblasting method used on many engraved corporate gifts is suitable for most glass and crystal and is often used in personalized paperweights with either a logo and strap line or sometimes a personal name as well.

Engraved designs may be filled with a choice of colors which have a most delightful effect. However, you should be aware that this method is only suitable for spot colors and is not possible to reproduce a full color image like this.

If a club crest or coat-of-arms is required on glass or crystal a transfer print will be the most economical process as hand painting will be too expensive even on smaller quantities - say fewer than 25 or so.

Some promotional give aways and recognition items which look superb when laser engraved include identity badges, name badges, conference badges, promotional coasters, advertising coasters, award plaques, glass paperweights, crystal paperweights and desk name plates.

Steel, brass and aluminum promotional give aways are most eye-catching if laser engraved thus allowing the base metal to come through the coating creating a pleasing impression. Likewise, other promotional give aways such as identity badges, name badges, conference badges are often quite stunning when thjey show shrough a colored background.

Advertising pens,the post popular of all branded gifts, are on a another plane as promotional give aways and recognition products when laser engraved or chemically etched but this only applies if the pen gifts are at the quality end of the market.
